I can’t find the correct assignments
|
Make sure that you have registered in the correct lecture. Push the
button that says “change book/course” and choose the correct professor.
Then push “submit”.
|
The program is not checking off problems that I am doing correctly.
|
Many problems have multiple parts and you must push the “continue”
button (the top button out of the three on the screen) in order to access
the next piece of the problem. You will be done with the problem when this
button says “retry”.
|
Sometimes the program says my answer is incorrect when it is correct.
|
Remember that you must use parenthesis when you have a sum in the denominator.
(e.g. 5/3+2 is not the same as 5/(3+2)). This is due to the order of operations
and you must do the same thing on a calculator.
Sometimes the program wants a decimal answer and sometimes it wants
a fractional answer. Also, sometimes the question is multiple choice and
it wants you to enter a,b,c, or d. Read the instructions carefully.
|
My homework scores are not being recorded.
|
Remember to push the “hand-in” button when you want the program to
record your score. It is best to make a habit out of this and do it at
the end of every session. You may turn an assignment in as many times as
you like up until the due date and your score will be updated.
|
I am just getting a blank screen when I log on to the program.
|
Most likely, you are missing a plug-in on the computer called Macromedia
Flash. When you log on next time, click “yes..install” and proceed to install
the plug-in that you need.
Make sure that you are using the right web browser (Internet Explorer
5.0 or higher). If you do not have this at home, you can use one of the
campus labs specified in the handout.
